You will explore different ways of mark-making during several drawing exercises, which will be achieved using a variety of materials and techniques.

The emphasis will be on the human face in order to create a range of developing drawings, as well as a finished mixed media portrait. You will learn about the different qualities of acrylic, ink, charcoal and inktense pencils and will gain confidence in using them expressively and intuitively.

Stacey Finley is an experienced artist working to discover new ways of drawing - her practice is an exploration into the drawing process, using a mixed media approach. Her process is automatic and she draws from intuition and imagination. She views art making as 'playing with materials, shape, line, colour and form to create new and imaginative worlds'.
